Newsflash Number 2! The Beezotted team are celebrating again! Matthew Middleton’s book Princess Bee and the Boy, illustrated by Jade de Baecque, has won a second prestigious international award: a 2024 Silver Nautilus. These US-based awards are given to “books that made us think, make us improve, and make us aware”.
This award follows the 2023 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award: a Bronze in the environmental issues category. The Moonbeam awards, also based in the US, aim to “bring increased recognition to exemplary children’s books and their creators, and are dedicated to supporting childhood literacy and life-long reading”.
We are thrilled and proud to receive these international honours for our little self-published Aussie book, spreading the message to care for our native bees throughout the world.
